Termination Notice from Aetna
Lincoln Surgical Associates, Ltd. and the LSA Family Medicine Division (together, “LSA”) recognize the importance of contracting with and diligently maintaining relationships with health insurance and managed care companies, especially those covering our existing patients.
On February 27, 2026, Aetna issued to LSA a termination letter. The termination is not expected to occur until January 1, 2027. However, most LSA primary care providers will no longer be participating providers with Aetna effective as of August 27, 2026. LSA feels it is important to communicate these changes to our patients as soon as possible.
Effective January 1, 2027, the providers of LSA will no longer be in-network, and effective August 27, 2026, most of the primary care providers of LSA Family Medicine Division will no longer be in-network.
This means that, after the date that applies to your LSA provider, you will no longer have coverage for services, or you may pay higher out-of-pocket costs, unless you find a different provider that participates with Aetna.
- Contact your employer or group health plan administrator.
- Contact the Aetna customer or member services department.
- Request information regarding other health plans with which LSA participates.
- Ask your LSA physician about transitioning care to another provider.
